EUKOR was founded in 2002, when Scandinavian shipping companies Wilh. Wilhelmsen and Wallenius Lines acquired the car carrier unit of Hyundai Merchant Marine.
Today we are proud to have the Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors Corporation as shareholders (20%), providing us with a unique growth platform in the industry. Being part of the Wallenius Wilhelmsen group (80% ownership) means building on a 160-year heritage of driving change in shipping and logistics.
The group consists of EUKOR, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Solutions and ARC. It owns and operates around 130 vessels servicing 15 trade routes to six continents, together with a global inland distribution network, 120 processing centers, and 11 marine terminals.
